As a pet parent, I'm sure you want to include your dog in the Summer activities, as much as possible.  With that in mind, here are seven fabulous places to visit, with your dog, this Summer!

Whether you are looking for fun in the sun, on land or in water, this list has something for everyone!

  • AKC Museum of the Dog
Located in St. Louis, MO offers Fitness with Fido starting August 18 - September 22.  A fitness class for you and your dog, which runs for 6 weeks.

Additionally, they offer Guest Dog of the Week, where,
by special invite, you can bring your dog or dog club for the public to learn more about a specific breed.
The museum sits on a 14,000 sq ft facility, they offer free parking, there is an admission fee and from what I can tell, dogs are not allowed in the museum itself.
  • The Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad
Located on Hwy 41 in Fish Camp, CA.
Take your dog on an hour long ride through the Sierra National Forest!  You and your dog will get to relax on the train while riding the historic Madera Sugar Pine Railroad! There is a stop at the Lewis Creek Canyon for a brief outdoor visit.  You can make reservations online before your planned visit.  Bonus:   Dogs ride free!

  • Crabtree Falls
Located in Montebello, VA, these falls offers a paved trail overlooking the falls and a 2 1/2 mile trail for the seasoned hiker. A visit to Crabtree Falls is a beautiful way to spend time with your dog and enjoy some gorgeous scenery.  All dogs must be leashed.

  1. I love your pics, Jane! Traveling with our dog can be fun. I especially recall going to the outdoor Sea View Snack Bar in Mystic, Ct. where folks could bring their dogs and enjoy fresh seafood. What fun. I believe there are a few other places in Mystic where you can bring dogs.
